Hi! I’m Dena,

I am a computer scientist and academic, currently working at the intersection of AI/ML and systems security.

I hold a PhD in Information Technology from Politecnico di Milano (supervisor Professor Stefano Zanero), a MSc in Information Security from UCL, and a BSc in Computer Science from University of Calabria.

I am also a skilled software engineer, with more than 10 years of experience as a Python developer. I have significant expertise with the most prominent ML and DL frameworks, particularly TensorFlow/Keras but also PyTorch and Sklearn. Recently, I have  been learning JAX!

Through the research projects I have led or collaborated on, I developed a profound theoretical and practical understanding of AI and ML, from simpler learning algorithms to more complex structures, including CNNs, RNNs, Transformers, and GNNs.

I am a math and science oriented person, who gets excited at the idea of producing new knowledge and discovering new things, be these fundamental computer science problems or related to other scientific domains.
